About Rewilding Your Soul
Welcome to Rewilding Your Soul — a living conversation about freedom, presence, and the art of being human in a world gone wild.
This is a space for those who sense that something real has been lost — and who feel called to remember it.
Here, we explore the path from disinheritance to freedom — not through perfection or performance, but through rhythm, awareness, and the courage to live what’s true.
I write, speak, and teach from a lineage of ideas that form what I call The Five Pillars of Rewilding Philosophy — a rhythm of thought that moves us from captivity to creation:
Baruch Spinoza — Understanding the causes of captivity
Ralph Waldo Emerson — Returning to nature and the original voice
Albert Camus — Choosing meaning in the face of absurdity
Friedrich Nietzsche — Creating new values beyond inheritance
Werner Erhard — Transforming context through language and invitation
Together, they form the foundation of what I call Rebellion with Roots — the practice of rewilding both mind and spirit until freedom becomes something we live, not chase.
What You’ll Find Here
This is more than a publication — it’s a living practice.
Each part of Rewilding Your Soul is designed to help you return to rhythm, awareness, and the courage to live what’s real.
🎧 The Daily Rhythm — three-minute reflections that close with a Beautiful Question to carry into your day.
💬 Podcasts, The Still Point Letters & Echo Work — living philosophy, personal stories, and cultural reflections on what it means to be whole. These pieces trace the echoes of our past — the music, memories, and meanings that shaped us — and turn them into pathways for freedom.
Each rhythm, reflection, and echo is part of a larger journey — from captivity to creation, from noise to meaning, from disinheritance to freedom.
About Gary Lougher
I’m the founder of The 2nd Ascent School, creator of The Rewilding Your Soul course series, and author of the book by the same name.
My work weaves philosophy, story, and coaching to help people reconnect to the parts of themselves they were taught to forget — so they can live, lead, and love with rhythm instead of reaction.
“Rebellion isn’t about rage; it’s about rhythm.
It’s the quiet return to what’s real.”
— Gary Lougher
