Your Daily Rebel Rhythm: Week 9, Day 4
Hey Rebel!
Today we step into the seventh rhythm of ascent —
a rhythm many fear,
avoid,
or numb,
but without it,
the Second Ascent cannot rise:
Feeling.
Feeling is not an inconvenience.
It is intelligence.
It is communication.
It is the nervous system speaking in its original tongue.
Gabor Maté reminds us that trauma is not what happened to you —
it’s what had to remain unfelt
so you could survive.
Every emotion you avoided
stayed behind in the body.
Not as punishment,
but as unfinished conversation.
Now that you are safer,
stronger,
more present,
the body begins to deliver the messages
that had nowhere to go.
Feeling is not weakness.
Feeling is reunion.
It is the part of you that stayed frozen
finally thawing.
It is emotion moving again after years of stillness.
It is your system saying:
“I trust you enough now
to show you the truth.”
Your mind can rationalize anything.
Your body cannot lie.
Tightness is information.
Heat is information.
Tears are release.
Numbness is protection.
Softening is truth returning.
Every sensation is a sentence in a language older than words.
Feeling is the Rebel’s courage made visible.
Today, when an emotion rises,
don’t outrun it.
Don’t negotiate with it.
Don’t make meaning out of it.
Just be with it.
Feel where it lives in your body.
Feel what it wants you to know.
Feel how it shifts when you stop resisting it.
Your job is not to fix the feeling—
your job is to feel it.
Because every emotion that completes its journey
returns you to yourself.
